Hey all!

This board seems to have gone into hibernation since the applications were sent in! So time for new topic methinks: the interview!
I know many UK applicants have had theirs already we seem to be ahead of the game a bit. I think Kiwis, Austrailians and Canadians are currently getting notified while Americans are still relatively in the dark Sad Hopefully you wont have long to wait guys!
My one tip that I think applies to all countries' applicants is make sure you know stuff about your own culture i.e. things you would want to tell the Japanese about in your lessons etc.

So ave you had your letter through yet? When is your interview? Or have you already had it? What was the hardest question you were asked?

Hey Rachel, You're right - hits on the site died off the very day after apps were due in but are picking up now again as people fret over interview questions, if letters have arrived, how to find the embassy / consulate, etc. The next wave after this will be when acceptance letters go out. Good luck folks! Cheers, OG

Don't panic! From what I've heard Austrailian letters seem to be very staggered depending on what consulate you applied at. Plus there's loads of time to hear back yet!

Believe me the waiting to receive the letter is nothing to the stress of the waiting AFTER the interview going over and over every answer you gave and what you should have said argh! Ah well can't go back and change it now!

Keep us posted Oz!

I got my letter on the 15th, and confirmation that I was in to the interview stage on the 26th. Now I have my interview on the 18th of this month.

I read that post, Omi-Gai, VERY helpful, arigatou gozaimasu. But it's from 2005, and I hear they are changing the game quite a bit.

Anyone have any interviews recently? Can you give me a more updated idea of what they will ask?

Thanks!
